DESCRIPTION

The liver of a healthy person carries out almost all metabolic processes in the body, promotes normal digestion and absorption of vital substances, and participates in removal of its own and external toxins.

Poor environment, high content of undesirable admixtures in food, increased consumption of medicinal drugs and alcohol, metabolic disorders, bacterial and viral infections, and disruption of normal microflora may cause liver diseases.

This product contains a milk thistle extract, which is a powerful antioxidant well known for its protective effect on liver cells.
Milk thistle facilitates the processes of injured cells detoxification and regeneration occurring in liver, helping to maintain normal functioning of this important organ in the human body.

The Central Asian word for liver shares a root with the word for oven for a very good reason: the liver is the hottest organ in the body. Millions of biochemical reactions occur in the liver every second. Metabolizing of hormones, neutralizing toxins, producing urea... all of these processes are going on constantly. The liver is a stoic organ, it never complains. Pains in the lower right abdomen are sometimes called liver pains, but in fact they originate elsewhere. The liver itself never hurts.

However, if we want to support any organ or bodily system, we need to accomplish this via the liver. Want to get rid of an allergy? Consider ways of moderating bile production. Does your thyroid need some support? The transformation of T4 into T3 hormone occurs primarily in the liver. Having trouble with excess weight? Maybe the detoxification process is not being carried out correctly, and your body is developing fat volume to “hide” the collected toxins. Detox

Every day our bodies do battle with an army of toxins. Some of these toxins are exogenic, meaning from the outside, and some stem from within (xenobiotics). Up to 90% of substances that originate within the body require detoxification. Hormones, neurotransmitters, fatty acids, cholesterol and retinoids go through three stages in their life cycle: they are produced, fulfill their function and then must be neutralized and removed from the body.

This process takes place mainly within the cells of the liver (hepatocytes) in several stages or phases:

• Phase 1. Oxygen plays an active role in this phase, and its main enzyme is P450. The most important step for the liver in the first phase is transforming fat soluble toxins into water soluble toxins. But the interim substances may sometimes be more toxic.


• Phase 2. The second phase includes complex biochemical reactions that require amino acids, proteins, B group vitamins and Vitamin C.

Thiamine (Vitamin B1), cobalamin (Vitamin B12), pantothenic acid (Vitamin B3) and cobalt are important cofactors in phase two detoxification.

Liver Active

Liver Active is a universal basic food supplement for liver health. Its original formula addresses the main problems of strengthening hepatocytes’ cell walls and regulating bile production; the formula is specially adapted for residents of Central Asia. Liver Active contains milk thistle, a hepatoprotector (hepato meaning liver) with a mild choleretic effect. The primary active substance in milk thistle is silymarin, which regenerates, strengthens and protects hepatocyte walls. It acts as an antioxidant, tidying up free radicals. And even in the most extreme of cases when liver cells turn into connective tissue (fibrosis) and cease normal functioning, silymarin is capable of slowing the process and even allows its reversal. This effect has been well researched and scientifically proven.

Furthermore, silymarin is nontoxic. This means that it is difficult to overdose on milk thistle-based products. Another important property of silymarin is limiting hyperactive immune responses. This means thanks to milk thistle, people with autoimmune conditions or allergies can also take Liver Active.

Dandelion root, the second component in Liver Active, helps break down bile clots and improves bile quality. Anyone who has nibbled on a dandelion leaf, root or any other part knows that it’s bitter. Naturally bitter foods have many healthy properties. They facilitate digestion and stimulate bile flow from the gallbladder. Sometimes during an examination bile clots can resemble stones, but it is sufficient to take the food supplements for two weeks to resolve the situation. Triterpenes from dandelion root dissolve the grains, perform cleaning function, and the “stones” disappear. The bile itself neutralizes some toxins.

Flavonoids and acerola cherry and natural Vitamin C complete Liver Active’s unique formula.
